Certified Nursing Assistant

What they do

• Help bedridden patients adjust their position.
• Transfer patients from room to room.
• Maintain rooms by changing sheets or restocking supplies.
• Help patients maintain good hygiene by assisting in bathing, dressing, and providing bedpans and any requested toiletries.
• Check patients' vital signs.
• Take urine samples.
• Assist patients when they request help.
• Follow nurse's instructions when performing procedures.
• Provide food and drink and assist patients in eating and drinking.
• Follow protocol and procedures to maintain patient safety and the reputation of the establishment.

Qualifications

• Complete a state-approved nurses aide training program.
• Have certification with the Department Of Health.
• Be fully capable of performing all of the duties demanded by the position.
