Certified Nursing Assistant
What they do
- Help bedridden patients adjust their position.
- Transfer patients from room to room.
- Maintain rooms by changing sheets or restocking supplies.
- Help patients maintain good hygiene by assisting in bathing, dressing, and providing bedpans and any requested toiletries.
- Check patients' vital signs.
- Take urine samples.
- Assist patients when they request help.
- Follow nurse's instructions when performing procedures.
- Provide food and drink and assist patients in eating and drinking.
- Follow protocol and procedures to maintain patient safety and the reputation of the establishment.
Qualifications
- Complete a state-approved nurses aide training program.
- Have certification with the Department Of Health.
- Be fully capable of performing all of the duties demanded by the position.
