Forklift Operator
What they do
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner according to protocol.
- Perform any miscellaneous tasks needed to ship or store goods.
- Transport items to their designated locations based on a production schedule.
- Unload incoming vehicles putting stock in assigned locations.
- Load outgoing vehicles and ensure materials are secure.
- Move inventory about the facilities to their designated locations and do inventory security checks to ensure there are not losses to the inventory.
- Maintain equipment by performing all necessary tasks to ensure proper functionality of the vehicle.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good alertness to ensure the safety of the work space.
- Forklift certification.
- Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
- Good height and depth perception.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work in uncomfortable temperatures.
