What they do
- Safely driving large cargo trucks over long distances.
- Loading and unloading cargo.
- Planning routes.
- Interacting with dispatchers and logging all trucking activities.
- Maintain their rigs to ensure optimum functionality.
- Business-related duties, such as establishing a solid pipeline of work to establish maximum.
- Accounting responsibilities, such as submitting tax information and calculating business expenses.
Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License CDL.
- Pass random drug tests while on the job in order to maintain good standing.
- Must own and drive at least one of their rigs in order to be classified as owner operator.
